Hello cuties! It’s officially the first day of Fall here in NYC and there’s just something about the change in the seasons that has me feeling super-inspired right now! I recently spoke on a panel with Leftbank Art at the New York Design Center’s What’s Now What’s Next event.
It feels so great to be out and about at design industry events again–I love getting to take questions from all my amazing fellow design and home industry pros and actually chat with them IRL instead of on Zoom.

My wonderful VP of Creative, Trevor Richardson, graciously moderated the discussion with insightful questions and the whole event was beautifully framed by a backdrop of artwork on offer from my friends at Leftbank. Don’t they have the most inspiring showroom?
We covered topics as wide ranging as how I balance motherhood and running my business (spoiler alert: there’s no such thing as balance, but my kids are my everything!) to walking clients through the realities of global supply chain set-backs, to (of course) the importance that art plays in beautiful home design.

What’s Now & What’s Next
Ok, so you’re probably wondering what exactly is What’s Now What’s Next (#WNWN) and what’s the deal with the New York Design Center. Glad you asked!
The New York Design Center is a really amazing resource for both design professionals and consumers! It’s located in midtown Manhattan and features over 100 vendor showrooms (plus a whole floor dedicated just to antiques)–they host events, like #WNWN, for the industry but they also are open to the public through their unique Access to Design program.
“If you live in the Tri-State Area and are working on a home renovation or refresh, I would highly recommend taking advantage of the consumer guidance they offer at NYDC.”
This year was the 14th year for the #WNWN event and I must say, I love this event and it was such an honor to be able to speak at it. #WNWN brings every facet of the design industry together to share and celebrate the very best in our field–it’s a whirlwind of new ideas, design inspiration, and material and product showcases.
In addition to the panel, I had a chance to catch up in-person with my team!
